Meeting Times:First 2 Thursdays at 6pm-9pm and Last 2 Sundays of the Month from 10am-4pm
We explore fiber arts including spinning, weaving, knitting, crocheting, etc. while socializing and learning from each other. Sundays we have a potluck lunch. There is no membership fee, and we sometimes participate in field trips or special events such as making and donating items to charities, etc.

We maintain the nature trail behind the library. Our meetings consist of a business meeting, a program, and lunch. We occasionally have public gardening events such as plant sales, the grafting exchange, or native plant propagation classes.

Friends of Scenic 180 was formed in 2019 by concerned members of the Squaw Valley community. We understand how keeping a rural area’s feel is important and that any development should complement that feel and further beautify its surroundings. We also care about California State Scenic Highway 180, which runs through our communities, and we are working to preserve it. We partnered with the non-profit Sierra Gateway Trust in 2022 and have joined forces in these efforts. We are proud of the art sculpture at The Trading Center, the beginning of the Squaw Valley/Dunlap Art Trail. To support our mission and goals please join our group or donate funds for more art.

Oak to Timberline is trying to help the Squaw (Yokuts) Valley and Dunlap area to develop a Firewise Community. We are trying to help them get it established. We are volunteering our time toward this effort. This is a community-based, neighbor-to-neighbor program (Firewise Communities).
